Who provides this

What Call It is

Call It runs a guessing question at an event: a QR-code poster guests use to submit a guess with no account. Whoever creates a game sets the question, enters the correct answer at the end, and sees the ranking.

The organizer account

• An account needs an email address and a password, and is created to make and manage games.
• By creating an account or a game you accept these terms of use.
• If you hand on your password or negligently expose it, you are responsible for what is done with it through your account.
• You are responsible for the question, the correct answer, and anything else you enter.
• You can delete your account at any time — immediately, no notice period. That deletes your games and every guess in them.

The free tier

Games are free with no participant limit and no purchase contract. What the free tier shows or limits is on the Pricing.

What does not belong in a game

What organizers or guests enter — a game's title and question, but also the name a guest gives when guessing — is seen by other people. Everyone is responsible for what they enter themselves. Not allowed:

• Hate speech against people or groups, for example because of origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
• Harassment, threats, bullying and singling out individuals.
• Sexual or pornographic content, and anything that sexualises minors.
• Glorification of violence and calls to violence.
• Illegal content, for example banned symbols, fraud, copyright infringement or calls to commit crimes.
• Other people's personal data: their names, addresses, phone numbers or photos without their consent.
• Spam, advertising and deception, such as a game whose only purpose is to collect participants for something else.

Blocking, removal, reporting

We do not review games in advance, but we reserve the right to block or delete a game and to remove an account at any time if it breaks these terms or we learn of illegal content — in serious cases without warning. A blocked game shows only that it has stopped. Procedure: we look at the game that was reported or that we noticed, decide on the block, and tell the organizer by email that and why their game was blocked (Art. 17 DSA). You can object at any time: write to the address below, we review the decision again and answer you.

Every game's guess, thank-you and results pages carry a “Report this game” link; it leads to a report form where you pick a reason from a fixed list. You can also write to us directly at legal@metzner.uk. We look at reported games and block them if they break these terms. A single report does not block a game automatically.

Availability

Call It is a small, side project. There is no guaranteed availability: maintenance, a hosting outage or a bug can interrupt the service.

Liability

The service is a free tool and is offered as it is. We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence. We are not liable for slight negligence, except for personal injury; product liability law is unaffected. Organizers and guests are themselves responsible for what they enter.

Changes

These terms can change, for example when features are added. The date below says when they last did.

Dispute resolution

We are not obliged to take part in consumer arbitration proceedings, and do not do so. The EU online dispute resolution platform was shut down in July 2025, so there is no link left to give.

Law and contact

Austrian law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. Questions to legal@metzner.uk.
